Our Aim Is To Save The Endangered Traditional Textile Arts
Our mission is to save, a rich cultural heritage that has sustained families and traditions for centuries. A traditional and refined art form that is fast disappearing, due to the challenges of a modern world. We serve to inform buyers and traders of unique textile arts, of the beauty and great aesthetic value of these unique ancient textiles. Our efforts are helping to establish a reputation for these traditional textile arts as refined art.
In many parts of the world, the only place you are guaranteed to find a traditional woven textile work of art. Will be in one of the many worldwide museums or galleries that permanently exhibit, these ancient textile arts and the ancient cultures they represent.
These traditional woven textile works of ritual art are very hard to find. Harsh economics factors and increasing worldwide poverty, has sadly seen many priceless family heirloom textiles sold to simply survive.
Most of what is readily available now, are simple and fast produced weavings for both the tourist and local markets. Such poor standard, quickly produced textile weavings can only serve as cheap copies of genuine heritage textiles.
Just like the proud artists and people that we represent. We do not seek or want charity. Our aim is simple. We promote and sell their increasing rare and beautiful traditional textile arts. By doing so, we give our artists direct access to art buyers in the world markets. This allows our artists to provide for themselves and their families. The end result will not only save this ancient art form. But will save families from the perils of despair and poverty.
We do not claim to be a 100% profit free foundation. We do apply small profit margins to the investments that we make in our artists. We believe in fair trade and respect for both buyers and sellers. By applying only small margins on our products. We also aid our selling capabilities. However much of the proceeds from our sales are reinvested in worldwide promotions and exhibitions. We also invest in village based education and textile art preservation programs.
Our village based education and preservation workshops, facilitate in the exchange of skills and information between weavers throughout Indonesia. This initiative increases women's talents and respect for the same. It also helps in maintaining high quality standards for the art form.
By simply buying any of our listed, unique textile arts you will be helping us in our mission. However if you have any ideas or projects that can aid us in our mission, we will be very glad to hear from you.

We provide buyers and collectors, with authentic traditional textiles, hand woven sarongs and textile art. That is fully produced using the ancient and natural techniques. All of our woven textile works of art were made following ancient recipes and weaving techniques.
In selling these unique textile works of art to a modern world, we are restoring pride and glory in an ancient world. Our work is giving woman and families a new dignity in tradition. We are preserving an exquisite textile art form. Most importantly, we are giving true traditional artists and loving mothers a new self-respect and financial security without charity.
Due to harsh economic realities that have impacted rural villages and the traditional weaving communities. The young women are unable to spend the years needed to learn the complicated dying and weaving techniques. They are forced to move to the cities to find an income.
The labor-intensive tradition methods of producing such unique textile art, are left to their mothers and grandmothers. As the older woman die, the rich traditions of spinning, tying, natural dying and weaving ritual textiles, will also die and be lost forever.
By working directly with women weavers, through our village based development projects. We are empowering women by supporting their traditional textile arts. Our much needed, financial support ensures that family health and children's educational needs are met.
Your support will not only save the unique traditional textiles and art forms. But will also save a traditional way of life and a rich cultural heritage that has sustained families and traditions for centuries.
By supporting these traditional textile arts, we demonstrate that culture and tradition has a place in the modern world. Together we can restore people's pride in their unique culture and conserve the very traditions that support both their physical and spiritual life.
We believe in fair trade and respect for both buyers and sellers. We apply only small profit margins on our traditional textiles and textile art products. This not only aids our selling capabilities. But also ensures excellent re-sell opportunities for traders.
We do not support and are very much against child labor. We are active in promoting schooling for rural children.
We are also active in promoting nature conservation, by using sustainable harvested natural dyes. With the use of natural dyes and hand-spun thread, we stimulate local organic farming of cotton and indigo. We sponsor the planting of trees that are used for dying materials. This in turn promotes reforestation.
